HOW TO GET EUROPEAN FLAX®

a - principles and criteria

European Flax® is open to any Company worldwide, whose products are composed of European flax fibre, and willing to take part in the certification process.

Each Company commits to the criteria in accordance with its activity, as part of the VALUE CHAIN:
Value Chain

Upstream, flax growers and scutchers, by signing the EUROPEAN FLAX CHARTER,  guarantee local farming that respects the environment: ZERO IRRIGATION, ZERO GMO, ZERO WASTE.

Downstream, all players of processing and trading commit to the TRACEABILITY of the European Flax® fibre, from supplies to invoicing ; and to correct labelling of COMPOSITION. For the verification, they rely on the expertise of Bureau Vertitas Certification [BVC]; and regarding processors, on the composition testing by laboratories accredited by the Bast Fibre Authority.

By involving each player in the value chain, European Flax® labels finished products, offering retailers and consumers for premium linen fibre grown in Europe .
